Top Notch Cruises

If you enjoy travelling and seeing new destinations, I advocate a cruise. I have cruised the Mediterranean and the Baltic and my next cruise will be a Caribbean cruise. I am genuinely looking forward to it. If you have never been on a cruise, start saving up now, because it is luxury like you have never imagined before.

Never having been on a Caribbean cruise before, I do not know how much the various Caribbean islands differ from one another, so I do not know how varied that cruise would be. However, I have cruised the Med and the Baltic and woken up to a different country every day and in both of those seas and every country is very different from its neighbours.

On our Baltic cruise we departed from Southampton and cruised to Gothenburg in Sweden. From there we went to Helsinki and Leningrad (in those days). On the way back, we called into Copenhagen and the Tivoli Gardens. None of those countries was in any way similar to another or even Britain.

The Top 5 Things to See In Bangkok

It is probably to be expected that most first-time visitors will begin their holidays to Thailand in Bangkok. With that being the case, I felt it imperative to offer a brief guide on what I consider to be the city’s best attractions for new visitors, or those who are pressed for time in the capital city. Obviously, this will not be the same list you may find in more comprehensive guides, yet I feel that it does represent a nice blend of the many different flavors that make Bangkok such a fascinating tourist destination.

No. 5 – Khao San Road – The Sights, Sounds, and Smells of Bangkok

Without question it is over-commercialized and has lost some of its past appeal, but Khao San Road is still as good a place as any in all of Bangkok for those on their first visit to Thailand to take in their first sights, smells, and sounds of the “City of Angels”. Looking past the cheap gold watches, pirated DVDs of Western movies, and low-quality tee-shirts, Khao San Road continues to be an outstanding place to have a few drinks, do some people watching, and soak in the Bangkok evenings.

Inland Beach Cottages

When many people, singles and families alike, think about booking a holiday, many of them would only think about going to the beach for a fortnight’s lounging on the beach under the sun and swimming in warm, blue waters.

However, many of the best, most famous beach locations are magnets for hordes of people. It appears that most people like the sand, the sea and the sun. Now some people go to these destinations precisely because they are busy. They like the crowds and the night clubs that attract them. Mainly singles go to these types of places and a holiday romance is not far from many peoples’ minds.

Couples and older people may desire a little less noise, pollution and commotion. However, there are beaches which meet these demands too. Often they are private beaches. Some have hotels on them but some do not. Those that do not frequently have inland beach cottage rental properties instead. These are nearly always self-catering.

Top Beaches in Mexico

Cancun Beach: Cancun has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The scenery is like those you get to see in Technicolor movies, with chalky white beaches and inviting water colours. And if you are attracted by the party atmosphere Cancun offers one of the best nightlife experiences in the Caribbean.

Cozumel Beach: The beaches in Cozumel range from scalloped bays and little coves to wide wind-swept swathes of fine white sand. There is a beach for every taste; the tranquil waters of the most occidental part of Cozumel are ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and sunbathing. But the east of the island is blown by steady winds making it a paradise for windsurfers.

Acapulco Beach: Here you are in a place where the beaches and the surrounding mountains are simply breathtaking. Acapulco Beach is so scenic; it’s the typical holiday postcard you see in post offices around the world. But be aware in recent years Acapulco is undergoing a constant battle against drug lords.

Luxury Caribbean Cruises

Vacationing on a cruise ship is justly considered to be elite and luxurious. It is definitely the best type of vacation that I have ever had. The luxury far surpasses staying in a five star hotel. On the other hand, it is like an elite all inclusive holiday, because once on board, all the entertainment and all your meals are free. Alcoholic drinks must be paid for, but then they are duty free.

If you have never been on a cruise before you really must try it. I would not recommend it as a family vacation, but I have seen families on cruises. Cruising might suit a family with older children or you might find a cruise which is planned with children in mind. However, in my experience, your average cruiser is over 50 and married.

I know that they do 18-30 cruises and all kinds of themed cruises, but if you just go on a normal cruise, most of your fellow passengers will be older. Many of them are celebrating something too – retirement, Golden Wedding Anniversary, 70th birthday, that sort of thing. These people want a relaxing time and do not really want children running around and jumping in and out of the pool. Dinner can be late and the evening’s entertainment is not child orientated either. If you want to take children, look for a specialty cruise.

Visiting Awesome Landscapes Within Oregon

There are many panoramic settings where you can take photos and also go on vacation, such as the Oregon Coast, which is a lovely setting for rest and relaxation in January, June, or just about any other month. Among the many features of this location are beautiful, grassy hillsides, beaches, welcoming coastal towns, and rock formations that are simply dazzling.

As you plan your trip to Oregon, consider driving along Highway 101, a route that is wonderfully picturesque. This route mainly goes behind the coastline, and this will allow you to take in the beauty of the entire region.

At the south of Astoria, the north coast spreads out, and this is at the doorway of one of the most extensive rivers in the United States: the Columbia River. The two coastal towns that will greet you in the north coast are Seaside and Cannon Beach, and in Cannon Beach, you will find an astonishing rock formation referred to as Haystack Rock. Drive down south further and you will find yourself in a town that presents tours and makes cheese: Tillamook.

A European Holiday Is A Great Choice

Going on a tour of Europe is a fantastic vacation which will make everyone you tell about it envious. A European vacation will give you hours and hours of history, exhilaration, lovely surroundings, and delectable meals to enjoy. The rich cultures you’ll confront on a European vacation might change the way you see the world once and for all.

First-time guests to Europe should be sure to travel to the traditional destinations of Rome, London and Paris. These capitol cities will provide you with an introduction to the ethnicities of England, France, and Italy while allowing you to view a few of the masterpieces of fine art and architectural mastery in Europe. Do not miss the Palace and the Houses of Parliament, the Louvre and Versailles, and the works of art of Da Vinci and Michelangelo in these beautiful cities.

Other European adventurers, or those who’ve seen the large cities before, might prefer to visit lesser-known destinations. Some beautiful areas to see in Europe are Prague, Krakow, Oxford, Ravenna, and Barcelona. These cities can have fewer tourists and will offer a more genuine view of European life.
