1. Find ways to keep you motivated while you exercise. Most people enjoy exercise and this is what keeps them going. There are also people who are ‘forced’ to exercise mainly because they want to lose weight. These people must find ways to stay motivate while exercising. One of those ways is to always have in your mind your goals. Your desire to lose weight will keep you exercising. Other ways to stay motivated while exercising it to hear your favorite music. Music can give you courage while at the same time can keep your mind busy and you will not realize that you are exercising.

2. Add some variety to your exercise. If you always perform the same type of exercise at some point you may get bored and quick. If you do various types of exercises you add some fun to your program and you will be able to lose weight faster. For example you can run for 20 minutes on the treadmill, then you can do some practice on elliptical machine and then some cycling. Choose any combination of exercises that you best suite your needs and requirements.

3. Do not concentrate your weight loss efforts on only one part of your body. Many people want to lose fat from a specific part of their body and they do exercises to target that part. While this is not bad, it is better if you exercise the whole of your body. To lose fat you should be consistent and patient. Each body has different characteristics and areas that carry more fat than others. What works for some people may not be applicable for others. So, instead of trying to concentrate on one specific part exercise the whole of your body using cardio and strength training.

4. Do not do drastic changes to your exercise and eating habits. To lose weight fast you have to do it gradually. As weird as this statement sounds it is true. Fast results will come if you do them gradually. Do not just stop eating from one day to the next. This will trigger signals in your body that something is wrong and your metabolism will decrease. The effect will be that the fat burning process will be reduced. Also if you start exercising intensively without first preparing you self there are a lot of chances that you will create problems to your joints and muscles that will slow down the whole process.
