Exercise And Extend Your Life

Article by John Hunter

Are you feeling tired and fatigued all the time and feeling a bit depressed? It is because you do not have good and healthy blood circulation since you are not regularly exercising. Exercise not only helps the body by having it create a better blood flow and circulation, but it also lifts up your mood so that you feel happier. Why should you exercise? One of the many benefits of exercising is that your heart pumps stronger and harder, which helps your cardiovascular system regulate your breathing and blood circulation. This helps your entire body get a good blood flow and helps with your overall mood as well. You should exercise regularly if you want to have a healthy lifestyle. Experts and other fitness athletes have reported to be in much better shape, live longer, and make healthier life choices as well. For example, people who exercise regularly also tend to eat better as well because they no longer crave junk foods or fatty foods that are counter active to the healthy body. So what sorts of exercises can you start immediately? One of the easiest ways to remain healthy and exercise is walking. By walking you can enjoy nature, get good exercise, and also uplift your mood by seeing the beauty that the scenery has to offer. You can also go on jogs after you have been walking for a while, or if you want a harder exercise instead of walking. Any cardio activity and exercise is good for the body because it causes the heart to pump more blood. When your body pumps more blood through the veins in your body, your cells begin to take in more oxygen, which causes them to expand and allow a better blood flow. Longevity is one of the most essential and good benefits of exercising regularly. Those people who live to see their grandchildren and live well past their seventies have a good lifestyle and often make healthy choices. It is also good to exercise with some free weights if you have access to them. Free weights allow the muscles to get toned and develop a better shape, which causes them to look more lean and appealing to not only yourself but the opposite gender as well. Have you wanted to hit up the beach during the summer time and be proud and confident of your body? Then is time to start exercising now. Why wait when you can start as early as today or tomorrow? Also, do remember that with regular exercise, you should also avoid junk foods and only intake foods that are healthy for the heart, body, and mind. You do not want to go overboard with sugar because it will not help you with your exercises. So do remember that exercising is a choice that you have to make, and once you commit yourself to it make sure that you follow through with it. If you continuously exercise for 30 days, it will become a habit and get easier with time.Skipping is one of the best ways to exercise. Skipping ropes are cheap and come in all different types of materials like leather and nylon. Try a few minutes of skipping a day.

Why Would Anyone Run 26.2 Miles BAREFOOT?

Article by Ed Mayhew

Most folks wonder why anyone would willingly run 26.2 miles, never mind doing it BAREFOOT! That’s exactly what Ethiopia’s Abebe Bikila did at the 1960 Olympics in Rome when he won the Gold Medal in the marathon. Americans viewing this and hearing about it at the time were thoroughly amazed and left it at that. A half century later a growing number of runners are leaving their high-tech running shoes at home to run barefoot — well, not completely barefoot, in most cases they run with minimal foot coverings that protect the foot from sharp pointy things while allowing the foot to function naturally.

How to Run Faster

When I trained seriously for the marathon, I thought of runners who ran the most miles would be better. I did not want to become a great runner, but I was an expert on injuries. My patients often come to me, the race with an injury that I had. Many top runners run more than 100 miles a week, because the genetic ability of their body to withstand such abuse, but the vast majority of riders capable of 100 miles per week without running that often violated. It also manages a large number of miles slowly, slowly in the race. The ability to run fast in the race depends more on how to run fast in practice, as the number of miles driven per week.

At the University of Copenhagen, Danish scientists studied experienced runners who run 60 miles a week at a fast pace. One group was instructed to reduce the mileage in half to just 30 miles per week, but a series of about 50 to 100 meters shot as soon as she could walk. The second group continued to run 60 miles a week at a fast pace. Runners who ran fewer miles faster, had to obtain an improvement of 7 percent of the maximum capacity of your body, and the use of oxygen.
